Step forward our talented Web Developer, Angela Ferreira.

Angela’s design career began when she graduated in Art and Design from the Polytechnic Institute of Braganca and the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. The success from her first degree led her to specialise even further in Graphic Design, where Angela completed a Masters Degree from the Middlesex University in London.

Angela has quickly become an asset to the design team, her passion and creativity enables her to handle many areas within the department. She is responsible for creating great website designs with a strong focus on UI, as well as designing graphics, producing professional video and animations for social media and other marketing material for the MWB brand and our clients.

Angela is a determined young lady with a calm head upon her shoulders. Now you know more about what she possesses in the digital world, let’s take a step into her life and find out more about what makes the latest MWB team member tick with our Q&A session...

What’s the best thing about working at MWB?
“I love my role here at MWB working within a team that works together to do their best. It’s all about collaborating together to achieve the best possible work that achieves the objectives and goals for our clients.”

How do you like to unwind in your spare time after a busy week at work?
“I enjoy spending time with my friends or watching a good movie. I also like go-karting and trying new things.”

THREE words that describe your personality.
“Ambitious, creative, and perfectionist.”

What is your passion in life?
“Learn and create - I get bored rather easily, so I’m always looking for new challenges. I’m constantly exploring new ways I can grow and evolve professionally and personally.”

Is there a specific experience in life that always stayed with you, changed your outlook or made you more motivated to succeed?
“I personally believe everything happens for a reason. It’s when those little things happen and you see just like the world and you can be grateful for life, time and existence. These experiences are what shape you as a person, your mindset and what direction you want to take your life.”

What is your proudest achievement?
“My education.”

Who was your role model/hero growing up?
“My parents - they taught me my values: to work hard, respect people, be humble and do whatever is needed to do to get the job to the best it possibly can be.”

Where is your favourite place in the world?
“There’s no place like home in Portugal - I have learned that it can be anywhere in the world, but the most important thing is the people around you.”

What is the one thing you could not go a day without?
“Sunlight.”

What is your favourite song?
“It depends on my mood, but I love to hear new and different artists. But, I would say my favourite song is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.”

What is your favourite Film/TV programme?
“I very rarely watch something more than once, but Pulp Fiction or the TV show Lost are probably my favourites.”

What are your favourite food and drink choices?
“Anything with seafood, a caipirinha and a good espresso.”

What would you say is your hidden talent?
“Maybe tennis? I really enjoy playing and I like to think of myself as a good player.”

What is your biggest phobia?
“Spiders and centipedes - and everything else that has too many legs!”

What is your favourite motivational quote?
“Fake it, until you make it.”

What would be top of your bucket list?
“I would like to travel around the world.”

If you won well over £1,000,000 on the lottery, what would you spend your winnings on?
“I would invest half of it and help my family, the rest I would use to do all the things on my bucket list.”

Finally, if you hosted a dinner party, who would be your chosen FIVE guests (dead or alive) and WHY?

My Grandad - I would like the opportunity to meet him properly. Unfortunately he passed away when I was one years old.

Matthew Encina - I could learn so much from him.

Pablo Picasso - A great mind and a wonderful artist - the dinner party would be so interesting with him there!

Mallu Magalhaes - I imagined that her songs would create a positive atmosphere.

Rui Pereira (my boyfriend) - I would love to share this moment with him!
